In addition of proudly winning five Felix awards over the years in their native province of Quebec, the latest for Alternative Album of the Year in 2011, Malajube also won a 2012 Juno Award for Francophone Album of the Year for La caverne. The band has toured relentlessly the country and abroad playing hundreds of shows in Canada, in Europe, in the United States and Japan, visiting festivals and events such as the SXSW, CMJ Music Marathon, Osheaga, Les Eurockéennes and Les Francofolies de Montréal.
Formed in 2002 by Olivier Langevin on guitar and vocals with the help of his friends, Galaxie's music is scorching rock'n'roll sung in French. Since the release of Galaxie's third album, Tigre et Diesel, the group has played in front of sold-out crowds all over Quebec. Their memorable show at Metropolis in Montreal last summer is considered by many journalists to be the best show of the 2011 Montreal Francofolies.

Louis-Jean Cormier is the front man of Karkwa, winner of the 2010 Polaris price for acclaimed album Les chemins de verre. The band is actually taking a one-year break, which allows the band members to work on different solo projets. Louis-Jean will release his first solo album next fall. His concerts with the Sirius XM Concert Tour will be his first shows as a solo artist.
Fascinated by rap music since he was a teenager, Koriass got his first record deal in 2008 (7ième Ciel Records) and then devoted himself to the release his first album, Les racines dans le béton. The album received a warm welcome by critics and Koriass is quickly considered as the "Rookie of the Year" in Quebec’s hip-hop industry. The video for Enfant de l’asphalte, the first single from his latest LP Small Victories (2011), gathered to date over 300 000 views on You Tube.
Even before the release of his first album, everyone was talking about David Giguère. Owner of a college degree in Acting, David nailed a small role in the movie Starbuck, in which he also plays his song L’Atelier. As an actor as well as a musician, David Giguère has a powerful stage presence. For his first LP Hisser haut, launched last January, he worked in close collaboration with Pilou and Ariane Moffatt.
K'Naan, which means “traveler” in Somalian, is a Somalian-born Canadian-raised rapper from hometown Mogadishu. He discovered rap through cassettes that his father sent him, when he was still living in Mogadishu. The mega-hit Wavin 'flag feat. David Guetta and Will.i.am, is a track from his fourth album Troubadour. A remixed version of the song was chosen as the anthem of the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa.
