MONTREAL, QC, August 23, 2012 – SiriusXM Canada (TSX: XSR), the country's leading audio entertainment company, kicked off its summer concert tour last night in Gatineau. Louis-Jean Cormier, Galaxie, Malajube, and Pierre Lapointe et ses musiciens took the stage at the Canadian Museum of Civilization’s Grand Hall and brought concert-goers to their feet with energetic performances.
The SiriusXM Canada Summer Tour will continue to turn up the heat in Quebec until September. The tour will make stops in Chicoutimi, Quebec City, Sherbrooke, Rouyn-Noranda and Laval.
To support the world’s future musicians, SiriusXM Canada is donating all proceeds of ticket sales from the tour to Young Musicians of the World, a Quebec-based non-profit that works to organize and operate tuition-free music schools both in Quebec and abroad. Admission is $10.
Artists’ performances on the SiriusXM Tour, in partnership with Scène 1425, will be recorded and broadcast on Air Musique (XM 152) and Latitude Franco (Sirius 155) during the week of September 24, 2012 as part of the SiriusXM 2012 Tour programming. Broadcast times will be confirmed in September.
