Disponible depuis deux semaines seulement, le nouvel extrait de Kristina Maria, Move Like A Soldier cumule les ajouts et se positionne au #13 cette semaine au Canada. La réaction est forte et les commentaires sont plus que positifs!
| Réalisé par Daniel AM Rosenberg, le clip Move Like A Soldier (ajouté sur Much Music et M3) représente la femme qui se bat, comme un soldat, afin de sauver sa relation avec celui qu’elle aime. Une partie des revenus de la vente numérique de l’extrait sera remis à l’organisme Mothers Against Drunk Driving(MADD Canada), une cause qui lui tient à coeur.
La chanson a été écrite par Kristina Maria en collaboration avec les légendaires auteurs Kristian Lundin (Céline Dion, Britney Spears), Savan Kotecha (Carrie Underwood, Christina Aguilera, One Direction) et John Amatiello (Britney Spears, Ace of Base, Backstreet Boys).

L’auteure-compositrice-interprète Kristina Maria est entrée dans le monde de la pop en 2010. Son premier album, Tell The World, inclu entre autre les succès Let’s Play, Our Song Comes On, Karma et la bombe Co-Pilot en collaboration avec Corneille. Cette dernière chanson, bien populaire au Québec lui a valu un 2e rang au palmarès canadien et un contrat avec le label français Wagram.

Kristina Maria a généré près d’un demi-million de téléchargements et plus de 10 millions de visionnements sur YouTube. Elle a remporté le prix SOCAN Pop/rock en 2012 pour la chanson Let’s Play. Elle a également reçu une nomination au prix Juno dans la catégorie Meilleur album pop de l’année, ainsi que trois autres nominations aux Canadian Radio Music Awards. Cette année faste en tant qu’artiste pop indépendante la plus jouée au Canada lui a permis de se démarquer de l’autre côté de l’Atlantique et de résonner petit à petit aux États-Unis.
En ce début d’année, Kristina Maria compte faire encore plus de bruit avec la sortie attendue de son deuxième album. De nouveaux collaborateurs se joignent à elle pour la création de cette opus éponyme: Corey Hart, Mark Feist (Destiny’s Child), Hookman Bonds (Swizz Beatz, Jason Derulo, New Kids on the Block), Martin Sutton (Backstreet Boys, LeAnn Rimes) et Chris Neil (Cher, Rod Stewart, Sheena Easton, Céline Dion) pour ne nommer que ceux-ci.
Notons aussi la participation de la guitariste Orianthi Panagaris, héritière proclamée au trône de la guitare qui a notamment été la guitariste principale de la tournée This is it de Michael Jackson pour la pièce Pump the Breaks.

Platinum and Gold-Selling Pop Powerhouse Kristina Maria Releases New Video For Move Like A Soldier
Toronto, ON - Canada's Pop powerhouse and multiple Gold and Platinum-selling artist, Kristina Maria, unveils the new music video for her latest single, "Move Like A Soldier." Garnering rave reviews upon release, the track has already earned the #1 Greatest Gainer (Hot AC / All Formats) spot according to Mediabase. Directed by Daniel AM Rosenberg (Dru, JD Era, D-Sisive) and funded by MuchFACT, the video was shot in Toronto at three different locations and explores the artist's fight to reclaim a dying romance.
The first single from her forthcoming self-titled sophomore album, "Move Like A Soldier" was co-written by Kristina Maria alongside renowned writers Savan Kotecha (Carrie Underwood, Christina Aguilera, One Direction), Kristian Lundin (Celine Dion, Britney Spears, N'Sync) and John Amatiello (Britney Spears, Ave of Base, Backstreet Boys).
Upon the release of the single, she announced that a portion of the sales would be given to Mother's Against Drunk Drivers (M.A.A.D Canada), an organization that is close to the singer's heart.
Kristina Maria broke into the Canadian music scene in 2010 with her debut album, Tell the World (Lupo One / Fontana North), which featured four Top 10 radio singles and generated close to half a million digital sales. Her first single, "Let's Play," reached #1 on the BDS charts, achieving Platinum status and earning her a 2012 SOCAN Award. Following her first hit, she released the Gold-selling "Co-Pilot" which turned out to be equally as strong with a combined six million views on YouTube and a #2 spot on Billboard Canada's Emerging Artist chart. Other smash singles off the album included Kristina Maria's second Gold-selling single, "Our Song Comes On," which reached #1 on Billboard Canada's Emerging Artist chart and "Karma" which achieved Top 5 status. Her successful year concluded with a coveted 2013 JUNO Award nomination for Pop Album of the Year for her debut album.
