Quatre ans après la sortie de l’immense album INSCAPE certifié platine au Canada, Alexandra Stréliski annonce la sortie d'une toute nouvelle chanson intitulée The hills, disponible dès vendredi sur les plateformes d’écoutes. The hills est une pièce qui parle des aléas de notre condition humaine, explique Alexandra. Elle parle de notre désir d’évoluer, de s’émanciper et de se sentir en paix avec le monde, avec tout ce qu’il a de contradictoire. Je l’ai composée d'un trait suite au décès de quelqu’un que j’aimais. Comme si j’essayais de réconcilier la grandeur de cette perte avec la beauté de la vie qui avait été là. La pièce se retrouvera sur un nouvel album à paraître en 2023. Pour cette nouvelle offrande, l’album sera disponible au Canada via Secret City Records et XXIM Records/Sony Masterworks dans le reste du monde.

The hills is a song about the hazards of the human condition, says Alexandra. It tackles our need to evolve, emancipate ourselves, and feel at peace with the world, contradictory as it may be. I wrote it in one sitting following the passing of a loved one. As if I was trying to come to terms with the depth of this loss while remembering the beauty of the life that preceded it. The song will be featured on a new album to be released in 2023, via Secret City Records in Canada, and via XXIM Records/Sony Masterworks in the rest of the world.
