Sainte-Catherine in December: the compositions of Paul Rossy performed by the Sunset Hill Jazz Band
A winter album, available October 27, 2023
Pediatrician and singer-songwriter Paul Rossy, joined by the Sunset Hill Jazz Band, introduces a new winter album: Sainte-Catherine in December, produced by Ian Kelly.
Dr. Rossy's artistic projects are numerous. In music, he writes, composes, and performs his songs- which are enhanced by the arrangements of the Sunset Hill Jazz Band. For children, he creates magnificent storybooks, illustrated by Janique Crépeau. On stage, he creates shows that combine music, dance, and theater.
Following the albums Jazz Poetry: The Music of Paul Rossy (2017), Oasis: The Music of Paul Rossy (2018), and Montreal Winter Suite: The Music of Paul Rossy (2020), the songwriter resumes his collaboration with the Sunset Hill Jazz Band for Sainte- Catherine in December: the compositions of Paul Rossy, a winter album. The album will be released on October 27th.
At the Sunset Hill Studio in Morin-Heights, The Sunset Hill Jazz Band- which includes some of the greatest jazz musicians in the province (Morgan Moore, Lex French, Annie Dominique, Mark Nelson, Jonathan Cayer, François Jalbert, Patrick Graham, and Taylor Donaldson)- re-arranged Paul Rossy's folk songs, blending them with Montreal Jazzscene vibes and Latin influences.
Thanks to the arrangements of Mark Nelson, and the co-production of Paul Rossy and the Sunset Hill Jazz Band, Ian Kelly produced this brilliant album which will brighten up any listener’s cold winter days.

Paul Rossy likes to tell stories. With his calling to nurture children, he has published two books, both illustrated by Janique Crépeau (2019 and 2020). Just in time for Halloween, Paul Rossy transports us into the world of Priscilla the Punkin' Pumpkin. Priscilla and all her vegetable friends have gathered to dance the vegetable garden waltz on a carpet of soft parsley. For the holidays, the story Mary Christmas is about a little girl who becomes an elf, bringing joy and love to little ones throughout the year. Both books are bilingual and available at Indigo stores and Online.
