Jesse Mac Cormack dévoile une toute nouvelle chanson Come Home

10 novembre 2023
Gatineau, QC • Pub La Dérive

25 novembre 2023
Trois-Rivières, QC • L’entité, Indie Music Fest

JESSE MAC CORMACK UNVEILS A BRAND NEW SONG COME HOME
DISCOVER THE VISUALIZER
IN CONCERT IN GATINEAU AND TROIS-RIVIÈRES

A few days after the Premier Gala de l’ADISQ, where he was nominated in the Anglophone Concert of the Year category, Jesse Mac Cormack returns with a new single entitled Come Home. In the same spirit as his previous release, All Mine, Come Home is a very intense electronic track. Jesse took his fans by surprise a few weeks ago by giving a free concert under the Van Horne overpass, where the audience got to hear several upcoming new songs.

Mac Cormack explains his inspiration, taken from a turbulent era of his life: The lyrics Why can’t you come home reflect a relationship hitting some snags, with neither reconciliation nor separation seeming like good options. The bridge breaks the flow, mirroring the intensity of a hot-tempered argument between a couple. This track possesses underlying aggressivity, acting as a catalyst for the buried anger I felt during this difficult period.

The song is accompanied by a visualizer, shot during his concert at the Festival de Jazz de Montréal in July. It perfectly captures the frenzied energy of his live performances.

After hitting the road with CRi last month for a series of concerts at MTelus in Montreal, Danforth Music Hall in Toronto, and L’Impérial Bell in Quebec City, the singer-songwriter will perform at Pub La Dérive in Gatineau on November 10, as well as at the Indie Music Fest in Trois-Rivières on November 25. Full details below. Purchase your tickets HERE.

An all-rounder, Jesse Mac Cormack has produced every volume of Helena Deland’s acclaimed Altogether Unaccompanied, as well as albums by Rosie Valland, Philippe Brach, Sara-Danielle, Lonny and many others. His approach has been influenced by remarkable encounters and collaborations with artists such as Patrick Watson, The Barr Brothers, Cat Power, Half Moon Run and CRi.

Mac Cormack released SOLO_2 last May, a new EP that includes three tracks from the original SOLO album that he has reinvented. The concept of creating alternative versions of songs that were on SOLO came about after my album launch show at Montreal’s Phi Centre last spring, says Jesse. Playing the songs live, I wanted to accentuate the electro aspect and experiment with a different energy live. As on his award-winning album Now, the singer-songwriter plays virtually every instrument on SOLO and SOLO_2, creating a sound universe that is both percussive and intimate, influenced by the electronic textures of James Blake, Little Dragon, Caribou and SUUNS.
